Oklahoma FreeWheel, 2002
It's time for the 2002 version of FreeWheel. Jackie is ready for his second ride across Oklahoma, I'm ready to ride the full week again, Dean is ready for FreeWheel on a recumbent and David is riding the route this year. It's time to revert to a tried and true logistic plan. Friday, before the ride starts, I drive Max (my Maxima) up to Ponca City, Oklahoma and leave him with my ex-inlaws (would they be "outlaws"?), Bruce and Raylene, LeRoy. They put me on a plane to Dallas after dinner that afternoon and Dean and Cheryl pick me up at DFW. An overnight at their place that night and Cheryl drives Dean, David and me to the start in Snyder, Oklahoma the next morning.
Jackie knows what to expect this year and brings his camera. Me? I still forget to bring it out at the most opportune times. There are 60+ pictures to be had here for this year's tour. All but three belong to Jackie. All of Jackie's pictures from this ride (along with his captions) can be found on his website, FreeWheel 2002. If you really need individual credit for a particular picture here, write me. Otherwise; if you like it - it must be Jackie's; if you don't like it, assume it's mine! <g>
