Day 0 - The trip to Snyder

Like some previous years, I find I have the resources get our return vehicle near the end of the ride, before the ride starts.  Friday before the ride, I drop my gear at Dean and Cheryl's, hook up a rental trailer to Max and drive to my ex-inlaw's house (Bruce and Raylene LeRoy) in Ponca City, Oklahoma.  After a great supper at the Mexican restaurant in the Ponca City Municipal airport, they put me on a commuter flight to DFW.  Dean and Cheryl pick me up there where we head directly for (you guessed it) dinner at a fine Mexican restaurant.  While I didn't down much food at my second dinner of the day, I did hold my own in the Cerveza department.

After a good night's sleep at Dean and Cheryl's Friday night, it's easy to pack up Saturday morning.  David joins us on time and it's an un-eventful trip to Snyder.  Gear unloaded, tents set up and it's time to look for old friends.  Tom's rolling "bike shop" is easy to find and here Dean and I wait for friends.

We find Jackie fresh off of his ride to the Red River (how did we miss him on the way in?)  More friends found after this; lies exchanged and plans for the week made, but no pictures until tomorrow.
