This rider's real name is Ralph McKay, but we affectionately refer to him as "Road Kill". A close examination of his helmet will find that he has glued all kinds of coins, bottle caps and other stuff to it that he has found along the road on his many rides. Here he stops for a much deserved rest on the rough road between Jennings and Cleveland on Day Five.

Thursday's overnight stay in Hominy, Oklahoma was enhanced by the visit of this pair of beauties from Ponca City. Judy Allen (left) has the distinction of being my son's aunt and Pam (right) is his mother. Besides providing a set of motorized wheels for sightseeing around the town, the girls joined Dean and I for a late but great dinner at the Silver Dollar Cafe.
